Privacy Policy
This policy explains how LoopGain Technologies Inc. (“LoopGain”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a Canadian corporation located in Ontario, Canada, collects, uses, and protects information when you interact with our websites and services.
LoopGain operates:
- loopgain.ai — the informational landing site
- dashboard.loopgain.ai — the LoopGain observability dashboard
telemetry.loopgain.ai— the optional telemetry ingestion endpoint for the open-source library- The loopgain Python package distributed via PyPI under the Apache-2.0 license
- The loopgain-plugin Claude Code plugin, also Apache-2.0
1. What we collect
a. Cloudflare Web Analytics (cookieless)
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics on loopgain.ai and dashboard.loopgain.ai to understand aggregate site usage. Cloudflare’s analytics is cookieless and does not track users across sites. The data collected on our behalf includes page views and HTTP referrer, anonymized country and region of visitors, browser and operating system class, and Core Web Vitals (page load performance metrics).
Cloudflare does not provide us with individual visitor IP addresses. The data is processed in accordance with Cloudflare’s own privacy practices.
b. Open-source library telemetry (opt-in)
The loopgain Python library, when used with the optional telemetry hook, can send aggregate loop-execution metrics to telemetry.loopgain.ai. This is opt-in: the library does not send telemetry unless the user configures the LOOPGAIN_TELEMETRY_ENDPOINT and LOOPGAIN_TELEMETRY_TOKEN environment variables and explicitly calls send_telemetry().
When opted in, the metrics sent include: a loop identifier (a workload_id you choose — we recommend it not contain personally identifying information), iteration counts, energy values, gain ratios, band classifications, and rollback events, along with the library version and timestamp. No code content, model output, prompt content, or user data is ever transmitted by the telemetry hook.
c. Email lists and lead capture
Several forms on this site collect an email address in exchange for something specific: free hosted-dashboard access, a design-partner pilot, waitlist signup for the Team or Enterprise plans, blog post notifications, or the results of the “paste your code” savings tool described below. When you submit one of these forms, we store your email address, which list you signed up for, the exact consent statement you agreed to, and basic anti-abuse metadata (a hashed — not raw — representation of your IP address, and your browser’s user-agent string) used only to rate-limit and detect automated abuse.
Free hosted-dashboard access and the blog newsletter use double opt-in: we email you a confirmation link, and nothing is activated or sent until you click it. Every subscriber email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. We do not sell or share this list with third parties, and we do not send unrelated marketing email to people who sign up for one specific list.
d. The “paste your code” savings tool
The tool at loopgain.ai/get-code lets you paste one example loop from your own code. That snippet, along with a short instruction prompt, is sent to Anthropic (the maker of Claude), which processes it to judge whether it’s an agent loop and to generate the analysis and rewritten code shown back to you. We do not store the code you paste — it is not written to any LoopGain database, before or after the request. Anthropic is a United States company; submitting code through this tool means it is transmitted to and processed on infrastructure outside Canada, subject to Anthropic’s own privacy practices (anthropic.com/legal/privacy) and, as with any U.S.-processed data, potentially accessible under U.S. law.
Submitting this form also captures your email address (see “Email lists and lead capture” above) and, the first time you use it, automatically provisions a free hosted-dashboard account as described below.
e. The Claude Code plugin
The loopgain-plugin is an open-source Claude Code plugin that scans a codebase for wrappable loops and proposes reviewed rewrites. It runs entirely inside your own Claude Code session, using your own existing Anthropic account and infrastructure — LoopGain never receives, stores, or processes the code it scans. Unlike the “paste your code” tool above, no code is ever sent to LoopGain or, through LoopGain, to Anthropic. The only way any information reaches LoopGain is if you separately choose to sign up for free hosted-dashboard access (see “Dashboard accounts” below) or explicitly opt into telemetry from the underlying loopgain library (see “Open-source library telemetry” above) — both optional, neither triggered automatically by installing or using the plugin.
f. Dashboard accounts
Signing up for free hosted-dashboard access — either directly, or as part of the code-analysis tool above — creates an account holding your email address, an account tier, and (where you set one) a salted, one-way hash of your password: we never store the password itself. Your telemetry access token is stored in encrypted form so that logging in can configure the dashboard for you automatically; treat the token like a password, since anyone who can log in to your account can recover it. Telemetry data sent to the dashboard using that token is retained for 7 days on a rolling basis. Paid dashboard tiers, once generally available, will have their own account and billing terms described here.
g. Communications
If you email us at hello@loopgain.ai, we receive your email address and the message contents. We retain emails for as long as needed to respond and maintain a record of the conversation.
h. Cookies and local storage
We do not set tracking cookies. The dashboard application may use browser local-storage for user preferences (theme, density, alert-rule configuration); this data does not leave your browser.
2. How we use this information
We use the information described above to operate the websites and dashboard, improve product reliability and performance, respond to inquiries, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your information. We do not share it with third parties for marketing.
On the Individual (free) dashboard tier, we may additionally use telemetry data in de-identified, aggregated form — combined across users, with workload identifiers removed — to improve LoopGain’s detection methods and to publish aggregate statistics. We never publish workload names, per-customer data, or anything that could identify you or your systems. You can opt out of this aggregate use at any time by emailing hello@loopgain.ai; opting out does not affect your service. Telemetry on paid tiers, once available, is used only to provide the service.
3. Third-party services
The following third-party services may receive information about your interaction with our sites, subject to their own privacy practices. Anthropic and Resend are United States companies; information sent to them is processed outside Canada.
- Cloudflare (CDN, security, analytics, hosting, and Turnstile bot-verification): privacy policy
- Anthropic (processes code you submit to the get-code tool, described above): privacy policy
- Resend (delivers every email we send — confirmations, tokens, analysis results, blog notifications): privacy policy
- Google Fonts (font delivery): privacy notice
- GitHub (when you click through to our repositories): privacy statement
- PyPI / Python Software Foundation (when you click through to our package): privacy notice
4. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access information we hold about you, the right to request correction or deletion, the right to object to or restrict processing, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent.
For residents of the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom, these rights are described in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For residents of California, similar rights are described in the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). For residents of Canada, similar rights are described in PIPEDA.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@loopgain.ai. We will respond within 30 days.
5. Children’s privacy
LoopGain is a developer tool. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16 years of age.
6. Security
We protect the data we hold using industry-standard practices including HTTPS for all transit, bearer-token authentication for telemetry ingestion, and Cloudflare’s edge security. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify affected users in the event of a confirmed data breach as required by applicable law.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be flagged via the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the websites and services after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
